This chapter is about the reshaping of the freedom of expression in the digital environment in light of the role of social networks. A comprehensive review of case law both in the United States and in the Europe is given, the latter including national courts, the European Court of Human Rights and the CJEU. The chapter concludes with an analysis of the elements of the new legal framework.
