The recent global pandemic has revealed that, even in the most advanced countries, health sectorneeds more investments to meet the increasing needs of populations, generated by factors such as aging populations and longer life expectancy. To understand the relevance of investments in the healthcare sector it’s enough to consider that among the Sustainable Development Goals, goal number 3 urges global actors to significantly increase funding in the health sector by 2030. There are several sources of financing for health sector investments.
