Il concetto di guerra: suggestioni interdisciplinari

The concept of war: a multidisciplinary approach. The paper discusses the complexity of the definition of war, trying to assess to what extent the new technologies have transformed warfare. Indeed, when examining the technological development, what emerges is a new paradigm of war, which is progressively disconnected from the traditional territorial dimension (cyberwar) and where information and images – which can be deceitful (fake news, deep fake, role of the AI) – become more and more relevant. Furthermore, the war language is continuously borrowed by politicians as a metaphor to discuss complex issues such as the pandemic. Hence, the paper, while trying to reconstruct a new viable definition of ar, also examines the contribution of the AI. As a conclusion, the paper considers that there is a need for the law to approach the regulation of technology, and contemporary warfare, also by considering methodologies and suggestions coming from other disciplines.
