Abstract
In many countries of the world, population ageing has been accompanied by an increase in welfare spending. However countries differ in the size and composition of the welfare state. We analyze the complex relationship between ageing and the welfare state in a comparative perspective. Do welfare states affect ageing? Does ageing affect welfare state programmes? We also discuss the policy implications of this double interplay between ageing and welfare states.File in questo prodotto:
