Cervical cancer is correlated with HPV infection. E6/E7 oncogenes play an important role leading transformation and maintenance of malignant cells. Our study aims to evaluate the expression of HPV mRNA E6/E7, genotypes and cytology in HIV positive (HPW) and negative women (HNW). Methods: A total of 328 HPV positive women, 64 HNW and 264 HPW, were unrolled. Cervical samples were tested with INNO-LiPa HPV genotyping (Innogenetics, Belgium), mRNA E6/E7 expression with APTIMA(Genprobe,USA) and cytology was evaluated according to Bethesda system 2001.

Abstract
Cervical cancer is correlated with HPV infection. E6/E7 oncogenes play an important role leading transformation and maintenance of malignant cells. Our study aims to evaluate the expression of HPV mRNA E6/E7, genotypes and cytology in HIV positive (HPW) and negative women (HNW). Methods: A total of 328 HPV positive women, 64 HNW and 264 HPW, were unrolled. Cervical samples were tested with INNO-LiPa HPV genotyping (Innogenetics, Belgium), mRNA E6/E7 expression with APTIMA(Genprobe,USA) and cytology was evaluated according to Bethesda system 2001.File in questo prodotto:
