This paper deals with the way in which best performing companies try to improve their service level leveraging both inventory management and warehouse management techniques. Through a qualitative analysis on six case-studies, the paper argues that the bundle of levers used to improve service level is related to the complexity of the environment in which they operate, measured in terms of number of clients, number SKUs, and length of product lifecycle.

Abstract
This paper deals with the way in which best performing companies try to improve their service level leveraging both inventory management and warehouse management techniques. Through a qualitative analysis on six case-studies, the paper argues that the bundle of levers used to improve service level is related to the complexity of the environment in which they operate, measured in terms of number of clients, number SKUs, and length of product lifecycle.File in questo prodotto:
