ERP systems are application solutions designed to integrate the operational, administrative and accounting processes that govern the implementation of the various business activities within an organization, maintaining the information flows that accompany the operations originating in the different areas within a single logical framework. Over the past decade, ERP systems have also been adopted in the healthcare sector and, although very gradual, their penetration into the administrative and accounting areas of Local Healthcare Units (LHUs) and hospitals has been constant and undeniable. The introduction of these new systems has often accompanied the large-scale reorganization of healthcare units by processes. This book describes a ten-year research project developed by CERGAS Bocconi into the issue of the application of ERP administrative and accounting systems in healthcare, offering readers an overview of the first results of the studies, carried out on a large sample of concrete experiences in order to identify and measure the value of the critical success factors of these ERP systems.

Abstract
ERP systems are application solutions designed to integrate the operational, administrative and accounting processes that govern the implementation of the various business activities within an organization, maintaining the information flows that accompany the operations originating in the different areas within a single logical framework. Over the past decade, ERP systems have also been adopted in the healthcare sector and, although very gradual, their penetration into the administrative and accounting areas of Local Healthcare Units (LHUs) and hospitals has been constant and undeniable. The introduction of these new systems has often accompanied the large-scale reorganization of healthcare units by processes. This book describes a ten-year research project developed by CERGAS Bocconi into the issue of the application of ERP administrative and accounting systems in healthcare, offering readers an overview of the first results of the studies, carried out on a large sample of concrete experiences in order to identify and measure the value of the critical success factors of these ERP systems.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
