Abstract

The last setting of the Farsetti picture gallery, the least studied part of the collection of the Venetian family, is attributed to Daniele by the studies. Two unpublished letters, in particular, written by Daniele to Sebastiano Muletti, from Bergamo, not only confirm his role but also convey us a figure of connoisseur of manuscripts, printed books, artistic literature and, of course, painting. Specially, paintings purchases seem to be headed by two main threads: the evidence in artistic literature and the state of preservation, clear motivations of taste in the Venice of second half of the Eighteenth century.
