The growth and the evolution of the technologies are enabler to change how ho urban mobility is used by the citizen of the contemporary city, and the autonomous driving is the major innovation that is expected to express that change. The main challenge of the future urban mobility is to understand how to create an integrated system that is able to offer different solution to the different needs expressed by the citizen. But as the driverless car is almost ready to run on the roads of our city, is time to find ways to help this disruptive innovation to set its place around a driverless city, understanding how streets and parking area may be redeveloped as is to expect a less need due to less cars around. The article tries to explain what is to expect for the driverless car in term of new urban mobility system and new occasions for to develop a proper resilient city.
