Abstract

In recent years, government has changed its role in the production of welfare interventions, transferring the management of services to external actors. An innovative approach - however - is to overcome the logic of New Public Management and to test a promotional welfare with an integration of resources and skills among all stakeholders. This article shows a project of Magenta District - initially ispired by the Personal Budget adopted in the United Kingdom - that has supported creation and development of self-help networks among families of its territory.
