The Analysis presentes tries to give a first assessment of the tools used for interventions from the starting of the crisis to June 2009 using some of the results of a research conducted sofar mainly through the analysis of the evolution of four central banks' balance sheets. The article focus is on a comparison between the action undertaken respectively by the Federal Reserve System and by the Eurosystem.
