Like any empirical measurement, a single journal ranking bears the risk of errors. Given the growing importance of journal ranking information for academic career decisions and the allocation of research funds, however, such a ranking has to be as valid as possible. Literature on meta-analysis suggests that an aggregation of repeated measurements of the same subject should normally yield a more reliable and valid picture of reality than single measurements. Against this background, we demonstrate all necessary steps to merge single, heterogeneous ranking information to an aggregated and calibrated common "meta-journal ranking". The field of "Technology, Innovation Management, and Entrepreneurship" serves as an exemplary case.
